Cargo Shipping

Real cargo & goods shipments (LCL / container) from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah & Sarawak — vessel, container and photo proof. See the case studies.

These cargo case studies are completed shipments from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah and Sarawak, moved either as shared-container LCL or a full container. Each one records the vessel name, voyage number, container number and arrival date from the customer's own paperwork, plus photographs taken at the yard and inside the container.

What these case studies actually show

Every job on this page is a shipment we have already completed and documented — the same vessel name, voyage number, container number and arrival date that appeared on the customer's own paperwork, plus photographs taken at the yard and inside the container. Nothing is a stock illustration.

We publish them because cargo shipping to Sabah and Sarawak is mostly bought on trust. A rate card tells you what a cubic metre costs; it does not tell you how your cartons are braced against timber so they cannot shift across two to three days at sea, or who tells you the container has landed. These write-ups follow one consignment from the first WhatsApp message to the moment it is signed for.

How a cargo job is scoped and priced

Scoping starts with dimensions, not with a price. We ask for the packed size of every carton or crate and the quantity of each, because sea freight is billed on volume — CBM, or length × width × height × quantity. That total decides the first fork in the road: enough volume to justify a full container (FCL), or a shared one (LCL) where you pay only for the space you occupy.

From there the variables are the route, the pickup and delivery method, whether the goods need special handling, and the declared value used to arrange Marine Insurance, which is quoted separately. What you should take from these stories is the shape of the process rather than a number — the same eight phases run on a sixteen-carton appliance move and on a full branch relocation. Read one in full, then get an estimate for your own consignment.

Cargo Shipping — common questions

Are these real shipments?

Yes. Every job on this page is a shipment we have already completed and documented — the same vessel name, voyage number, container number and arrival date that appeared on the customer's own paperwork, plus photographs taken at the yard and inside the container. Nothing is a stock illustration.

Why do you publish case studies at all?

Because cargo shipping to Sabah and Sarawak is mostly bought on trust. A rate card tells you what a cubic metre costs; it does not tell you how your cartons are braced against timber so they cannot shift at sea, or who tells you the container has landed.

How is a cargo job scoped and priced?

Scoping starts with dimensions, not with a price. We ask for the packed size of every carton or crate and the quantity of each, because sea freight is billed on volume — CBM, or length × width × height × quantity.

How do I know whether I need LCL or a full container?

Your total CBM decides it. Enough volume justifies a full container (FCL); below that, a shared container (LCL) means you pay only for the space you occupy. Send the carton list with measurements and we work out which is cheaper for your real volume.

Is Marine Insurance part of the shipping price?

No. Marine Insurance is arranged against the declared value of your goods and is quoted separately from the freight.

Will my shipment follow the same steps as the ones shown here?

Yes — take the shape of the process from these stories rather than a number. The same eight phases run on a sixteen-carton appliance move and on a full branch relocation.
