Ship heavy machinery
to Sabah, Sarawak,
or Peninsular.

Heavy machinery shipping — excavator, forklift, crane, bulldozer, boom lift — across Malaysia's three main regions. Flatbed or heavy-lift vessel with professional custom rigging. For construction contractors, mining, and oil palm operators.

Ship Heavy Machinery runs from Port Klang to Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular, with Sabah served through Sepanggar · Sandakan · Tawau · Lahad Datu. Typical end-to-end delivery is 15–25 days. Quoted rates are port-to-port; door-to-door collection can be arranged on request, and Marine Insurance is billed separately based on your vehicle's Insured Value.

Risks & Delays: What You Should Know

Sailing and arrival dates are estimates, not guarantees. Delays usually trace back to the monsoon and rough seas, a vessel schedule changed by the operator, congestion at the port, or incomplete documents holding up customs clearance.

You can cut that exposure down: book early around festive peaks, get the bank release letter ready in advance if the vehicle is still under a loan, and declare accessories or modifications before loading. Our rates are port-to-port and do not include Marine Insurance — Marine Insurance is what covers the value of your vehicle while it is in transit. Without it, the risk stays with the vehicle owner.

// Frequently asked

Questions contractors ask us.

Can heavy machinery travel by RoRo like a car?

No. Excavators, forklifts, cranes, bulldozers and boom lifts move by flatbed, open-top container or heavy-lift vessel instead, with custom rigging worked out for the unit rather than a standard drive-on procedure.

What details do you need before quoting?

Model, BDM, dimensions and weight. Those four figures determine the method, the rigging plan and which permits the road leg needs, which is why there is no published flat rate for machinery on this page.

How is the machinery secured on board?

Securing follows IMO SOP, using rigging specified for the unit being moved. That is the same standard applied on every route, whether the destination is Sabah, Sarawak or the return leg to Port Klang.

Do you handle the permits?

Yes. Special haulage permits for the road transport leg are arranged by us, including JKR Sarawak route approvals where the destination requires them.

How long does a machinery shipment take?

Allow 15–25 days end to end — longer than a car, because loading is sequenced around the vessel and the low-loader legs at either end are part of the journey.
